Participants will gain an understanding of the training requirements and skill development needed to play at the next level. They will take part in on-court skill development training sessions, build strength and conditioning through the guidance of qualified professionals, coaches, and current pro and collegiate athletes. The program will instill practical principles highlighting the importance of respect, integrity and communication through sport.
Financial literacy will be another major component with a focus on budgeting, investing and debt management. Participants will engage in interactive classroom sessions each week that will teach life skills as well as encourage group discussions and team work.
This summer, Fifty for Free will be expanding the program to include classroom sessions teaching participants about coding, tech and cryptocurrencies.
