Summer Program

  • The Fifty for Free summer program is a 4-week camp for youth aged 13 to 19. Programming focuses on financial literacy education and professional development, while fostering a love of basketball through drills and game play.

    The program offers an incredible mix of activities and learning opportunities throughout the summer months. Youth will enjoy field trips and participate in arts & cultural events.

    Vanessa is rooted in the African Nova Scotian community and founded her storytelling consultancy in 2017.

    With over 17 years of experience, she aids individuals and organizations in crafting youth engagement strategies, career coaching, and workshop facilitation through an anti-Black racism lens.

All Fifty for Free programs are completely free of charge for youth and their families!

How long does each program run?

Our summer programs last 4 to 6 weeks.

How many days per week is each program?

Our summer programs run five days a week, Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays.

What are the age requirements to participate in the programs?

Youth must be between the ages of 13 and 19.

What cities and provinces are the programs located in?

Currently, our programs are available in Toronto, Ontario, and Halifax, Nova Scotia, however, we’ll be expanding to other locations across Canada.
